ORAL ACTIVITY: Seasons and Clothing

In this activity, different cards will be presented with representative images of the seasons of the year (spring, summer, autumn, winter) and different items of clothing associated with each season (scarf, swimsuit, hat, etc.). We will show them in the classroom and it is explained that next they will talk about the appropriate clothing items for each season of the year. Divide students into small groups.

In each round, select one station card and one garment card. One student in the group should talk about why that item of clothing is appropriate or inappropriate for the selected season. After a set time, rotate the cards to another group to continue the discussion.

It must be debated among the students, in order to find different points of view and thus enrich ourselves with the topic to work on. In addition, questions can be asked to facilitate this activity, such as:

  1. Why is it important to wear a scarf in winter?
  2. What kind of clothes would you wear in summer to stay cool?
  3. When is it appropriate to wear a swimsuit?
  4. What is your favorite season in terms of clothing?
